Peter Granados was born in 1989 in Chicago, IL, and grew up in the foothills of northern California. He attended the Yale Summer School of Art at Norfolk in 2010 and received a BFA in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2011. His paintings have been exhibited at Art 3 Gallery in Brooklyn, NADA Art Fair in New York and PAGE NYC, and in a solo exhibition "In Search of the Miraculous" at Sargent's Daughters in New York.
He is an American artist whose paintings are a marriage between gestural abstraction and the epic novel. Carefully embedded between swathes of saturated color and a multitude of painting surfaces, the artist depicts complex narratives whose subjects range from Californian esoteric schools to the greek tragedies of Euripides and Sophocles.
Peter Granados currently resides in New York. You can find his website here.
