Sirpa Särkijärvi - (to) reason | (to) sense

Six new paintings all completed in 2022.

The artist will be at the gallery in July, traveling here from her home in Turku, Finland.  She will give a talk about her newest work on July 16 at 2:00 pm.

Enjoy a recent interview with the artist in Finnish.  The paintings shown are those we have in the gallery right now for her exhibition.

Barbara O'Brien, who wrote a fine essay for Sirpa Särkijärvi's 2019 exhibition with us - see the page for that exhibition here - has agreed to write about the artist's latest paintings in this exhibition.  We will post Barbara's newest writing here in the near future, so please check back.
